■History■

June 1973	Project team was set up.
August 1982	Opening (Exhibition of Masterpieces of Modern Japanese-style painting was held to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the designation of Kure as a city organization and the grand opening of the museum).
April 1993	Annex of the Kure Municipal Museum of Art was completed and opened.
