(Except national holiday falls on Tuesday. In this case， the museum is open on the holiday and is closed the next day.)
The museum may close temporary due to exhibition change.

・High school students living in or commuting to Kure city.
・Over the age of 70 living in Kure city.
・Those with physical or mental disabilities and one accompanying person per disabled visitor.

.Collection Exhibition may not be available during Special Exhibitions.

June 1973	A project team was set up to build the museum.
August 1982	Museum Opened
April 1993	The annex Opened
April 2015	Kure City Cultural Promotion Foundation becomes the designated administrator.
